We Have Arrived! International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS 2018) Study
Information Literacy Aficionados, we have finally arrived, on the national level, no less! For the first time in its history, the U.S. Department of Education is participating in the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) Study.
ICILS collects not only the following data on how eighth-grade students:
- collect, manage, evaluate, and share digital information;
- understanding of issues related to the safe and responsible use of electronic information;
- access to, use of, and engagement with ICT at school and at home.
but also school environments for teaching and learning CIL and teacher practices and experiences with ICT.
The Department of Education is now seeking public comment. Comments close on June 14, 2016. Let your voice be heard!! Don’t miss this opportunity to publicly comment on an issue near and dear to our hearts, an issue we have been promoting since 1989…
