Li Wang, Ph.D.
Dr. Wang is the Learning Services Manager at The University of Auckland Library, Auckland, New Zealand. She has been working in the area of information literacy education since 1987, as a higher educator, a library practitioner, a researcher and a developer. She is the author of many published articles in the areas of information literacy, learning theories and practice, student-centered approach and new technology used in information literacy education.
Dr. Wang’s doctoral research focused on how to integrate information literacy across course curricula in higher education. She has developed an information literacy curricular integration model. The model has been applied in curricular integration of information literacy in various subject areas in higher education such as engineering, education, planning and arts. The model has also been applied in curricular analysis across a subject or program curriculum as well as in staff development and training program on information literacy.
In recent years, Dr. Wang has been invited as a keynote speaker in international information literacy conferences. She was a recent participant in the ACRL/Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians.
